GOOGLE的官方博客发表了关于手机的一篇文章，并且作了一些有意义的预测。
目前，全球约有32亿手机用户，在未来几年内，有望至少再增加10亿。今天，手机的普及率已经超过了汽车(目前全球登记车辆为8亿辆)和信用卡(仅14亿张)。固定电话在全球80%以上的国家得以普及耗费了100年的时间，而手机仅用了16年就完成了相同目标。青少年们都在使用手机查看时间，很少有人再戴手表。手机是截至目前拥有最多用户的消费类产品。
